Self-tapping threaded insert for repairing damaged M5 threads.
The bushing works in aluminum.
The damaged thread must be drilled out to a diameter of 7 mm so that the threaded insert can be installed. As it is screwed into the aluminum, the external thread cuts a new, secure grip. Ideally, the bushing should also be secured with Loctite.
